WhatsApp Introduces New Color: How to Enable Beige Mode on Your Phone

WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging applications worldwide, has long been recognized for its iconic green color scheme. However, recent trends have seen users seeking ways to customize this signature hue using third-party apps, despite such practices not being officially endorsed by WhatsApp.

For those looking to change the color of their WhatsApp app without compromising their device's security, several reputable launcher apps are available on both Google Play and the App Store. Applications like Nova Launcher, Action Launcher, and Lawnchair Launcher allow users to customize the app icon's appearance by simply pressing and holding the WhatsApp icon and selecting the desired color.

In addition to the color change option, WhatsApp is set to roll out several new features in April. These updates are in response to changes mandated by the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act. Key updates include:

- Encryption of messages and calls to prevent WhatsApp from accessing their content.

- Raising the minimum age for app usage in the European Region from 13 to 16.

- Implementation of new international data transfer mechanisms to comply with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

- Significant updates to channels, including changes to content reporting and appeals processes.

- Requirement for users to accept updated Terms of Service by April 11, 2024, to continue using the app.

More details regarding the new EU regulations affecting message exchange with third-party apps will be provided as they become available.
